Technical Skills Coach / Trainer - Plumbing and Gas

Salary: £40,600 - £43,700.00 + £6,000 tax free per year for 2 years for new teachers

Are you ready to shape the next generation of skilled plumbers? An Ofsted-rated Good Further Education College in Berkshire is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Plumbing Technical Skills Coach to manage and support a caseload of apprentices.

About the Role

This is a rewarding hybrid role combining both teaching and assessing. You’ll deliver training and assess plumbing apprentices within a local college. You’ll guide learners through their qualifications, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure each apprentice is fully prepared for their End Point Assessment (EPA).

You’ll take an active role in promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety during site visits and in the workshop. As part of the wider team, you’ll build strong relationships with employers, learners, and colleagues to ensure apprenticeships deliver real impact for local industry.

What We’re Looking For

• Time served plumbing or gas professional
• You must either have or be willing to work towards and Assessors Qualification.
• Level 3 plumbing or gas qualification
• Previous experience working with/ mentoring apprentices is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety on site.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
