Finance Assistant - Full Time, Permanent
Location: Knowsley
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 DOE

Adaptable Recruitment are working on behalf of a successful and growing business based in Knowsley who are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transactional finance professional who enjoys a busy, varied role covering all aspects of day-to-day accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of purchase invoices, credit notes, and supplier payments
• Managing supplier accounts, resolving queries, and reconciling statements
• Handling all aspects of credit control, including chasing overdue debt and allocating customer payments
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and daily cash postings
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting month-end processes and reporting
• Providing holiday cover for the Finance Manager when required
• Assisting with ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as needed

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong background in transactional finance essential
• Confident working with VAT submissions and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Able to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
• Flexible and willing to support wider finance functions when needed
