NJR Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading, fast-growing wealth management firm in Wakefield as they look to recruit an ambitious Junior Paraplanner to join their technical support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early-stage technical knowledge who is eager to develop into a fully qualified Paraplanner.

The Opportunity: Build a Long-Term Paraplanning Career

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in technical report writing and at least RO1 (or higher) who wants hands-on training, exam support, and clear progression into a full Paraplanner position.

You’ll work closely with senior Paraplanners, Advisers, and Directors, gaining experience in the entire advice process—from research and analysis to drafting suitability reports and supporting client recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with gathering and analysing client information
• Conduct research across pensions, investments, and protection
• Draft suitability letters and supporting documents (including AI-assisted templates)
• Support advisers with case preparation and technical queries
• Help implement advice recommendations and liaise with providers
• Maintain accurate, compliant client files
• Keep up to date with industry regulations and commit to ongoing CPD

What We’re Looking For:

• R01 (minimum) — additional exams highly advantageous
• Experience in financial planning support or report writing
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional communication skills
• A proactive team player with a positive attitude and a desire to progress

What’s on Offer:

£25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
