A nurturing specialist school in Newbury is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their supportive team. This full-time role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in mental health, psychology, education, or therapeutic services.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will support pupils with Autism, ADHD, anxiety, SEMH needs, and emotional regulation difficulties, helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to engage with learning.

Role Overview:

• Position:Mental Health Assistant
• Location: Newbury
• Pay: £89-£100 per day
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
• Start Date: ASAP

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Providing emotional and pastoral support on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Encouraging positive behaviour and resilience
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and mental health professionals
