Stevens Belting is seeking an Experienced Sales Engineer to cover London and the Home Counties. We are looking for a motivated individual who can develop the region, build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional support.

Experience in the conveyor belting industry is beneficial but not essential, and we welcome applicants from related sectors or those keen to learn. For candidates with strong sales experience specifically in Conveyor Belting, salary flexibility may be available.

While the position does not require you to live in a specific location, the Harlow area has historically worked well for travel coverage, so it is listed as our preferred base. Candidates across the wider region are still encouraged to apply. The role involves regular travel to customer sites and occasional visits to our Cambridgeshire office, so a full driving licence is required.

About the Role:

Stevens Belting supplies a wide range of conveyor belting, specialising in PU, PVC, Rubber, Timing, and Transmission belts. Key customer sectors include Food & Drink, Agriculture, Packaging, and Logistics.
As an Experienced Sales Engineer, you will grow sales within the region, manage both new and existing accounts, and provide hands-on customer support such as on-site belt measuring. Delivering high-quality service is central to our business and culture.

Candidate Requirements:

• Comfortable conducting regular face-to-face customer visits, alongside phone and email communication.
• Ability to understand customer needs and collaborate with the office team and Regional Sales Representatives to produce accurate quotations. Experience in Conveyor Belting or related industries is advantageous but not essential. Mechanical or engineering knowledge is also beneficial.
• Self-motivated team player with strong business awareness.
• Professional appearance, punctuality, and strong time-management skills.
