Electrical Supervisor (Liberty)
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join Liberty’s expanding team.
If you have a strong technical background in electrical installations, testing and responsive repairs — and you’re ready to lead, support and develop a team of field engineers — this role could be the ideal next step for you.
The Role
As an Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day management of electricians delivering electrical inspections, remedial works, rewires, maintenance and compliance activity across our social housing portfolio.
You’ll ensure all electrical works are delivered safely, compliantly and efficiently, while supporting electricians with onsite queries, technical guidance and quality checks. This is a field-based operational role suited to someone who’s confident signing off electrical certification, assessing engineer performance, and maintaining high compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Day-to-day management of electricians carrying out EICRs, remedial works, rewires and maintenance.
• Sign off electrical certificates (EICRs, EICs, MWCs) and ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Carry out quality audits, post-inspections and engineer competency checks.
• Support electricians with technical queries, fault-finding and escalations.
• Monitor productivity, performance, first-time-fix, quality standards and KPI delivery.
• Conduct regular van stock checks, PPE checks, asset inspections and vehicle checks.
• Ensure strict compliance with the latest BS 7671 wiring regulations and Liberty procedures.
• Maintain accurate electrical records, documentation and compliance data.
• Support onboarding, training and ongoing development of new and existing electricians.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, onsite audits and compliance updates.
• Work closely with managers to improve electrical service delivery across the contract.
• Maintain excellent communication with residents to ensure positive customer experience.
Qualifications & Certificates
Essential:
• 18th Edition (BS 7671).
• 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
• Gold Card.
What You’ll Bring
• Proven experience supervising or leading electrical engineering teams.
• Strong technical capability with confidence in signing off certs and ensuring compliance.
• Excellent understanding of electrical safety, inspection & testing and regulatory standards.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• A supportive leadership approach with the ability to develop and coach engineers.
• High attention to detail when managing documentation and electrical records.
• Customer-focused mindset and clear communication skills with residents and colleagues.
Why Join Liberty?
You’ll be part of an organisation committed to delivering safe, compliant and efficient electrical services in homes across the region. At Liberty, we value technical expertise, strong leadership and a proactive, people-focused approach. You’ll play a key role in improving safety, service delivery and overall customer satisfaction.
