Counterbalance Forklift Operator (AD-HOC)

Location: Heathrow, Feltham, Bedfont, Hounslow, Ashford Colnbrook)

Job Type: Full-time / Shift-based (Days & Nights)

Weekly pay! £13-£15 depending on experience –(Add-hoc shifts available)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Level D Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a fast-paced aviation cargo environment. This role requires both a valid counterbalance forklift licence and Level D aviation security clearance to operate within restricted areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load and unload cargo from vehicles and freight units
• Move, stack, and organise goods within warehouse and airside cargo areas
• Handle aviation freight, including Unit Load Devices (ULDs), in line with regulations
• Conduct daily pre-use equipment checks and report any defects
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety and aviation security procedures
• Complete relevant documentation such as delivery notes and cargo records
• Work efficiently in a high-pressure, time-sensitive logistics environment

Key Requirements

Essential:

• Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent)
• Level D Aviation Security Training certification provided by us!
• Forklift operating experience in a warehouse or logistics setting
• Ability to provide a full 5-year checkable work/education history
• Clean criminal record (DBS check required)
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends

Desirable:

• Previous experience in an airport or air cargo environment
• Familiarity with aviation freight procedures and documentation
• Experience working with palletised or containerised cargo

Working Conditions

• Based in secure, restricted airport cargo facilities
• Fast-paced and physically active role
• Shift work, typically 12-hour rotations (days and nights)
