Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive individual with strong attention to detail and a valid forklift licence. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inspecting Goods

    Verify deliveries against documentation, checking for damage, discrepancies, and correct quantities.

  • Stock Storage & Organisation

    Accurately store products in designated locations and maintain organised, accessible stock areas.

  • Order Picking & Packing

    Pick and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring items are correctly packed and labelled.

  • Loading & Unloading

    Safely load and unload goods using warehouse equipment, including counterbalance and reach forklifts and pallet trucks.

  • Warehouse Maintenance & Safety

    Maintain a clean, organised working environment and adhere to all health and safety procedures.

  • Inventory Management

    Support stock control processes, including stock counts and discrepancy investigations.

  • Documentation & Record Keeping

    Ensure accurate completion of all relevant warehouse paperwork and system entries.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Valid Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work efficiently
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (WMS systems desirable)
  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
