Position Title: Customer service advisor

Location: York (Haxby Road)

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Standard Business Hours

Contract Type: Temporary

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking two proactive and detail-oriented Transport Coordinators to join the UK Transport Team at head office in York. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting daily logistics operations, coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining seamless transport workflows using industry-leading software systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a central point of contact, liaising daily with hauliers, factories, distribution centres, and key internal stakeholders.
• Systems & Data Management: Utilize SAP Transport Management Systems and bespoke logistics applications to schedule, track, and manage transport operations.
• Issue Resolution: Apply a problem-solving mindset to handle dynamic operational challenges within a fast-paced environment.
• Workload Planning: Effectively plan, prioritize, and manage daily tasks to ensure deadlines and supply chain requirements are consistently met.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

• Experience: Previous background or experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain management is strongly preferred.
• IT Proficiency: Strong technical and computer skills; experience with SAP Transport Management or similar ERP/logistics systems is highly desirable.
• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to collaborate across diverse teams and third-party partners.
• Problem-Solving & Agility: Strong organization skills with the ability to thrive and problem-solve in a high-tempo operational environment.
