Paraplanner

The Company: A regionally renowned, Chartered IFA/wealth management firm based in Wakefield who are looking to add an experienced Paraplanner to their technical team. With over £1b AUM across both private and corporate client advice this is an excellent opportunity to join an established firm with tangible growth plans across the next 12-months.

• Location: Wakefield
• Working Setup: Hybrid – 50:50 split between office & homeworking

Package: £35-38k base DOE + bonus and full company benefits

• Benefits: 5% pension, 4xDIS and Westfield Health Cashplan – All on top of a full, flexible benefits package
• Holidays: 25-days + stats
• Bonus: Discretionary – Paid annually

The Role: Reporting into the Head of Paraplanning this role will sit within the firm’s research/report writing team and work closely alongside advisers to provide HNW private clients with advice to help them achieve their financial goals. Duties include:

• Checking of Fact Find Information to ensure it meets FCA requirements
• Assisting with the identification of demands and needs and possible solutions
• Checking assessment to investment risk and capacity for loss
• Carrying our research on existing arrangements
• Carrying out whole of market research on products meeting clients’ updated needs and objectives
• Preparation of full client recommendations and subsequent suitability reports
• Communicating with clients and providers

The Person: Detailed knowledge of the private wealth sector is required, as well as being QCF level 4 Diploma qualified (or close to) and experience of paraplanning work prior. Do you have:

• Product research and suitability report writing experience
• The ability to deal with all aspects of financial advice inclusive of pensions, investments, protection, IHT and wider tax planning etc
• Experience with Intelligent Office/IO client management system and platforms such as Aegon, Aviva and Quilter
